Rick Marshall

Rick has been on the music scene for over 30 years. He has performed in many diverse musical groups. His performances include such legends as James Montgomery, Matt Guitar Murphy (Blues Brothers), 70’s soul vocalist Joe Tex, jazz great Louis Belson. Rick has also performed with the Marvelettes, the Coasters, and the 5 Satins.

Rick also played extensively in the New England scene.  Included in those groups are the premier Hartford horn band Street Temperature, contemporary pop group New Star, in which Rick toured Canada, Japan and Singapore. He played with the Floyd Patterson Band and won the best band award in the Valley Advocate. Other bands he has performed with include, the Zywacks and the Sallins-Marshall Project.

Currently Rick is touring the U.S. with the most in demand Motown group Souled Out. He is also performing with CT’s super trio the Varela- Laramie-Marshall Project, now known as Frank Varela & Upstream.

Rick is a faculty member at the Community Music School of Springfield MA. He teaches drum set and is known for his work in the community.
